Many years ago (maybe 23 years?), I taught a summer Japanese student course. After class one noon hour, we walked to a building close to the St. Mary’s College in Midnapore, in order to see an amazing man glass blowing a fish, and putting it into a glass blown bag, tied by a glass string. We gathered ’round the doorway for about an hour, braving the temperature of a very hot day, in order to see a master at work. I wanted a sculpture then, but the cost was $100, and I could not afford it. Sigh.

I am now looking for a fish in the bag piece to purchase as a remembrance of that time. Do you know how I could manage this, and what it would now cost?

Hi Gail, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, Brain stopped making “Fish In the Bag” several years ago and I do not know where you could get one. It is so unfortunate, as we sold a lot of them in his producing years.
