Andrew has been named British Columbia Wildlife Federation Master Artist not once, but twice, are two in a long list of honors and awards given to this remarkable painter of sunlight and shadow.

For Andrew, each painting begins as a search for light and yet is confident expert  in handling the darks.

Born in Hungary in 1946, Andrew was a boy of ten when his family made the long and difficult trek to freedom, leaving behind the turmoil of the Hungarian uprising.

In addition to painting landscapes and wildlife, Andrew has been the illustrator of three very popular Children’s books.

A Kiss painting engages the senses.  Our imagination helps us smell the damp earth, hear the gurgling stream, taste the salt of the ocean and see our own reflection in a crystal clear lake.  A painting by Andrew sings to the nature lover in all of us.  “Here Comes the Sun”.

Born in Hungary in 1946, Andrew and his family immigrated to Canada in 1957. He has become one of Canada’s most recognized nature artists for a style that captures both breathless images and a reverence for realism. Releasing over 110 limited editions and involvement with many organizations such as Ducks Unlimited and BC Wildlife Federation have made Andrew a highly recognized name worldwide. Forty years from the start of his career Andrew has come full circle. Only painting landscapes and no longer producing limited edition prints have allowed him to focus on other projects. Sharing his love for the outdoors and passing this to future generations was important to Andrew as he illustrated four children’s books: A Mountain Alphabet, When We Go Camping, Wild Babies and Cool Woods. All books have received critical acclaim and can be found in stores across Canada. The Ministry of Education in BC is sending 50,000 copies of A Mountain Alphabet as part of a reading initiative to kindergarten students throughout the province. Exhibits have allowed Andrew to travel to Hong Kong, Switzerland, England, Austria, New Zealand, Germany, as well as throughout the US and Canada. His work can be found in numerous collections around the world.

I have two limited editions prints, both numbered 81 of 100 and dated 1980 of a chipmunk and a raccoon.

I was inquiring on value and whether you would be interested in purchasing.
