Jeweliyana Reece is a self taught artist. She grew up in Calgary (as Patti Milner/Frocklage) graduating from Crescent Heights with a specialized art curriculum. When she graduated, she took the road most travelled and entered the corporate world, working first as a geological technician and later built a national award winning career in Promotional Advertising. The creative calling never far off, she continued exploring various mediums aprt time. When she was introduced to glass in 1994 her fate was sealed. She’d found the perfect medium for her passion. In 2010 she opened InFused Glass Works and has been immersed in teh practice of kiln formed glass ever since.
In 2011 she was awarded the People’s Choice Award from Parks Canada for her work in the Magic in the Mountains Exhibition. In 2012 it was featured in “Art Takes Times Square” NYC, USA and also selected for the Glass Art Assocation of Canada’s “The Last Glass Show” Tour.
Her work can be found in Galleries and private collections throughout North America and as far away as Turkey.
She was also commissioned to create a glass mosaic for the Artisan Legacy Gardens at the Historical Bow Valley Ranche in Fish Creek Park, Calgary, Alberta. It will be installed summer 2013.
