Jacqueline Faye Miller

Bio

“Everyone sings in a different color”. Born in small town Saskatchewan, Jacqueline has worked and lived in the prairie provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, and now lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Jacqueline has worked diligently for over 25 years developing her skills as an artist through self-study, university curriculums and professional artist workshops. Jacqueline works out of her home based studio and as part of her creative process, and commitment to her craft, she makes it a daily habit to do something art related.

Jacqueline is a disciplined painter, versatile and experimental with a preference for acrylics on canvas. She paints in a series and collections to keep her passion and ambition fresh.

Jacqueline’s distinctive style, strong confident brush strokes, fluid and spontaneous, brings subjects to life with vibrant color. Her muse might take her through an urban garden, a rural landscape, to the Northern lakes, the city, up into the clouds, or just for fun … painting Portraiture. Inspiration also comes from unexpected mediums like the buttery oil pastels, perfect for her  representational, loose, and impressionistic style.

Whether impressionistic, expressive, or abstract, a confident brush stroke, a swipe of a crayon or an intricate pencil builds personality into every piece. These are the tools she creates with to tell the story.

Jacqueline’s work has received numerous awards and has been published in magazines. Her paintings are represented in private, corporate, and public collections throughout Canada, such as in the Government of Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina, and at the Saskatchewan Arts Board. Her work is represented in commercial galleries across Canada.
